I cannot recommend this firm highly enough. I came to them during one of the most difficult professional experiences of my career. As a therapist living with a disability, I found myself navigating an employment situation involving disability accommodation, the interactive process, medical leave, and ultimately the loss of a high-level position within a company I had believed in and trusted.
What made this experience particularly complicated for me was that I had spent years wrestling with what it meant to live and work as a person with a disability. When my employment situation began to unravel, I suddenly had to understand not only my professional circumstances, but also my rights as a member of a protected class. That was an incredibly vulnerable position to be in.
The attorneys at this firm met that vulnerability with compassion, knowledge, and advocacy. I felt that they genuinely cared about me as a person, understood the heart of what had happened, and knew the law well enough to fight effectively for my rights. They helped me reach a severance agreement that I was very happy with, but equally important, they gave me a sense of peace and closure after an extraordinarily difficult chapter of my career.
I also appreciated how supportive and accessible the firm was throughout the process. They were willing to work with me financially, communicated with care, and never made me feel like I was simply another case. Having attorneys who could be both strong advocates and caring human beings made an enormous difference.
This experience also changed something in me professionally. It deepened my commitment to disability competence and advocacy within my own profession and has become part of what is motivating me to pursue doctoral work focused on improving disability competence.
There are good attorneys and good litigators out there who truly understand disability rights, and I am incredibly grateful that I found this firm when I needed them. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone navigating disability discrimination, workplace accommodations or the interactive process, medical leave, or other disability-related employment issues.
